What are some uncommon mythical creatures that are somewhat dangerous?

I'm trying to write a story, but vampires, werewolves, fairies, witches, and a few other mythical creatures are INCREDIBLY overused. I need something that can be human. And yes, this sounds incredibly stupid, but I'd REALLY appreciate your help, please.
