Question:

What are some vegetables that can still grow well starting this late in the summer?

i really like bell peppers, tomatoes, and others like that. any veggie plants that will do well starting this late?

  1. I'm not 100% sure, but I think tomatoes are a summer veggie.  And maybe cukes?

It really depends where you live.  If you're in an area that stays sunny and warm through most of the autumn (like California, for instance), then tomatoes will do really well even now.  Most of the green veggies, unfortunately are past the planting season.  Asparagus grows fast and might work, but you do need a lot of water for them.

    If you could deal with fruit as well as veggies, try strawberries, they grow year-round though they do better in the summer than winter.
