  1. i am going to be starting tryouts for highschool volleyball sonn and i am just going to be going to as many volleyball camps as possible so what you need to do is find camps near you and do as many as you can it will make you really prepared

  2. run, weight train, agilitys, and practice basic skills and specifics for your position & go to lots of volleyball camps that clubs hold durring the summer

  3. start re-training. you've already learned everything just review. take a day to just practice serving, day to practice spiking, etc. and have some one else work with you to through you the volleyball. and the day before tryouts get a massage so your muscles will be relaxed and feeling great for the next day. and you'll do ALOT better then.

  4. http://smashvolleyball.com/id16.htm

click conditioning program for summer camps or something like that kind of in the middle of the page its a blue link

that dates are off by a day but its the same thing

  5. Well, I'm not in highschool yet, but I play on a SUPER serious volleyball club that is very intense just like the high school teams. For getting in shape, you should do quick sprints of about short distances, since volleyball is fast moving and quick. Also, you should condition your legs to jump higher (just google verticle jumping exercises and they'll tell you how to do that.). Also, just practice the basics of serving, bumping, setting, and spiking, so that whatever they ask you for in the tryout, you'll be prepared and well-rounded, which is what the teams look for. Tone out your arms and make them stronger as well by doing weights or lifting them. That really helps to hit the ball in serving or spiking. In setting, just practice setting correctly against a wall or to another person. Good luck making the team.

  6. Run. Run, run, run, run, run, run....and then, when you're done with that, run some more. TRUST ME. Went through it last year. RUN.

  7. Start running and getting into great cardio shape.

Take a volleyball down to the park or any place with a large wall or net. you can practice taking the ball off the wall or spiking the net.  Even serving from behind the tennis Court  may help.  I don't play volleyball so forgive me if these are dumb answers.

  8. Well simple ways are to just go to the pool and swim. That builds up your arm muscles.

Run, in volleyball its all about leg power

    Jump rope

    Things like that.

  9. do what everyone is telling you to do. Run and build up that cardio. Work on passing the ball by bending your knees and straightening your arms. If you know how to pass the ball you'll be good. Work on footwork drills. Have a starting point and then run to another point. After you reach that point run back to your starting point. Make sure you run a little farther each time. These are sprints drills so make sure your distance isn't that far. In basketball they call this suicide but in volleyball it's called lines. Do this about 5 times You need to be quick off your feet. Once you get this down you will be ahead of at 50% of the field trying out. Good luck!

  10. summer camps can give you lots of quality reps and also feedback from the coaching staff.  Depending on your parent's financial situation and where you live, I'm sure you can find a camp.  Also log on to: www.perfomanceconditioning/volleyball     This is a great resource to find wt. training, jump training and agility/conditioning programs to get you in shape before the fall season.

  11. play some beach volleyball. conditioning in the sand will help you get faster.

  12. 1 mile a day to crank up your stamina.

    besides that, do squats, sit-ups, push-ups, leg-ups & stretch.

you don't have to do all of them one day.  8times(or more depend on you) x 3 sets for each & group them & do them(2) every other day.  Let the muscles rest & work the other group.

DO every stroke nice & slow to max the result.

    Have fun playing
