  1. Some of the people who aren't paying for health care now are people who are excluded from coverage.  These are people with pre existing conditions,  serious diseases, incurable conditions with very costly never ending treatments.  Forcing insurance companies to cover these people would raise every body's premiums not make insurance more affordable.  Making provider do it for free? Well why would I spend a fortune going to college and medical school until I'm thirty years old before I start earning that money back?  The government would have to do it with more taxes.  If doctors and insurance companies can't do it how could government?

  2. Keep out of healthcare, It's not their f'n job! Healthcare is not a right. If the founding fathers thought it was, this would be a mute point!

  3. 1. the government should build a nationwide insurance company for the people, like it is in Taiwan. The insurance police is depends on the financial condition of each person, a poor one will be subsidized by the government health fund.

    2. import tax for drug and medical equipment should be zero

  4. A lot of countries have universal healthcare. The reason it would be more affordable is that everyone would be paying into it. Whenever we have a program and everyone pays into it; it lowers the cost. Think about economics; you buy in bulk and the cost is cheaper.  If the insurance companies all charged the same rate to patients and shared the costs it would benefit the patients.

For example; our family has medical insurance that we pay for. My husband hasn't been to a doctor in 20 years. So the premium they receive for him is pure profit.  I know someone else though that has cancer; you can imagine the insurance company is really paying a lot for his treatment. So if everyone paid into one place, the patients would help make the cost lower in the end. As it is now a lot of insurance companies take your age, weight, health and decide how much they are going to charge you. I know two people the same age. One weighs 30 #s more than the other. The person who weighs more pays a couple hundred more a month in premium than the other person. What the insurance company doesn't know is that the person who weighs less eats out all the time and spends their evenings drinking in a bar. The other person is healthy without the same bad habits; could just stand to lose a few pounds. Who wants to guess who will be needing a liver transplant somewhere down the line. lol

Anyway, the whole idea is that if we spread the cost of insuring patients over all the citizens and paid into one pot; the cost would go down. This system has been working in Canada and Australia (for example) for a very long time with good results.

  5. Considering according to my dentist 55 cents of every dollar he earns goes to malpractice insurance and he has NEVER had a claim against him. How about we do something to stop these trial lawyers like John Edwards from making millions sueing doctors with faulty and incomplete studies that after they have made millions off them are proven false.

Heres a thought.. if their cases are shown to be false after the fact..they pay the money back!
