I'm doing a project on arthropods in science and I need information about how they adapt. I also need websites if you find some. :)

  1. Adaptation refers to the traits of an organism that make it well suited for its environment.

For insects this would be things like camouflage coloration (green color for bugs that live on leaves), mimicry in body shapes (like walking sticks), mimicry in coloration (flies that are colored like wasps), ability to survive in a given environment (i.e. can breath in water, can eat a particular plant), and reproductive strategies (i.e number of eggs, a worker class).  Every insect has many adaptations that make it suited for its lifestyle and environment.

Just look at any arthropod and think about how it is able to survive with the lifestyle it has, and you will recognize many adaptations that allow that.

    Good luck!
