I'm attempting to educate the public on the corrupt school board and town council, but other than handing out fliers at the meetings I can't think of anything to do.

  1. Uh, civil disobedience involves identifying and isolating an unjust law, that's clearly unjust, and publically violating it, in such a way as to draw attention to its injustice.

Thus, to take a paradigm case, when Gandhi walked the length of India to the sea, and scooped out sand, to let the seawater flow in, be trapped, evaporate, and leave salt, in violation of the law against Indians "making" salt (so they'd have to buy it as massive profits to the British), that was civil disobedience.

If you want to publicize a pattern of corruption, and mobilize people, then try starting with a local newspaper or newscast -- and lay out your case.

Then give people who get it to hook up with you.

If you'd given any details as to what the wrong is, and the context, we might have been able to help with useful suggestions. But you didn't,so we can't. (Click my avatar and email me with details, and I'll see what I can come up with.)

  2. Civil disobedience is the refusal to observe the laws of a country such as Rosa parks using the white mans seat in the bus in America. Refusing to pay your tax bill. Mahatma Ghandi refusing to obey the British in India standing for what he believed in and doing it in a non violent way The Dalai Llama or Martin Luther King or Mohammed Ali refusing to go to Vietnam. I hope this is of some help.

  3. Maybe you can put bumper stickers on the cars of the school board members that say "I take bribes from school supply companies"
