  2. Are you serious? Global Warming? That was the 90's! In 1998 the temperature spiked on an average scale for planet Earth. Since then it has been getting colder. Our Sun hasn't even sparked a flare in almost three years! This winter 27 US cities reported the coldest winter in over a decade. Sydney Australia's summer this year was only 87 degrees. Antarctica has over one million square miles more ice than ever recorded before. Carbon emissions have nothing to do with the temperature of the planet!!!! Think about that big light bulb in the sky! The Sun can influence our environment a trillion times easier just by fusing more hydrogen into helium. But right now it is taking a little nap. Global Warming... Ignore the media and just take a look around you. I am in Pennsylvania in the United States right now. On May 20th, 1998 the temp here was 83 degrees. Today May 20th, 2008, ten years later, the temp here is 50 degrees! Global Warming? Yeah Right!

  3. We could build more nuclear, solar, and wind power plants. We could have less children, that's probably the best thing you can do.

  4. We can't. The planet has been changing since the beginning. The sun is its most influential factor.

  5. Build giant air conditioners for the planet and set them at 72 degrees.  That will keep everyone nice and comfortable.

Seriously, there were swings in temperature long before man came along and before we reached our current level of technology. The earth's temperature has not always been constant. There have been warming and cooling periods long in the past.  The truth is there is a lot we still don't know about the earth's climate. Anyone who says otherwise is full of c**p.

  6. Hold your breath.

  7. Global Warming is a lie propagated by the Left & Gore. Follow the money...

  8. let's think about this seriously for a minute. If you can halt the earth's natural cycles you can stop global warming.

and by the way you can't stop them. God, the creator of this universe, is the only one who can do that.

  9. Here are the only possible ways to stop global warming:

    1. Halt the fusion of the sun

    2. Block out the sun's light from reaching Earth

Despite what Al Gore would have you believe, humans have absolutely no influence on global climate.  Come on, we can't even divert a simple rainstorm!

Global warming is nothing more than a government method to impose more regulations (i.e. control) on the populace. True global warming is caused by a cycle of the sun, which is why other planets in our solar system have also experienced warming over the past few decades. The ice caps on Mars have been receding for years. Even Saturn's heat signature has increased. For the past few years, the Earth's average global temperature has remained stable and is actually believed to COOL in the next few years. CO2 is blamed for global warming, but plants absorb it for photosynthesis, so CO2 is just part of the carbon cycle. Humanity is estimated to have increased the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere by 3.6% in all existance, and that still doesn't even bring it close to 1% of the total concentration of the gases in the atmosphere.

The "worst" greenhouse gas in the atmosphere is water vapor, raising the temperature of the planet an estimated 30-35 Celsius degrees. Without that, Earth would be almost completely frozen. Thus, ocean cycles like El Niño and La Niña have a bigger impact on multiennial temperature shifts than mankind. Yet, nothing reaches the impact of the sun.

This all does not mean you should neglect being a good steward of the environment. Pollution is a very real problem, so cutting excessive use of energy consuming devices (appliances, automobiles, etc.) will help us all in the end.
