What are some ways to clean up your community?

I need to do a report for school (two weeks into school and I already have like six reports! Lol) and I was wondering what are some ways to keep your community clean? I know, recycling. But I need some other ways too. I have to have at least three in my report.

the main thing is proper disposal of wastes which comes from big factories and all after that only recycling comes have any questions mail me arun914321@yahoo.com

There was an article about a year ago that I read. 2 guys bought a house in a run down neighborhood. They painted their house and planted this huge garden out front. People in the neighborhood started doing the same thing because they liked it so much. Then everybody started cleaning the neighborhood up. It was really inspirational. Not sure it will help you with your report.

Adopt a street or stretch of road and clean it up. In my state they will actually put up a sign with your name on it.
