  1. Same here.

Just make yourself a routine. Like, brush your teeth at a certain time, then read a book, then sleep.

My routine is listen to music in bed, then sleep. My body now knows that after i listen to music, to sleep.

  2. You are not going to like my answer but I think you need to consider going to bed in time for you to get used to a routine of at least 9 or 10 hours a night. Try to maintain this routine into the weekend to get your body used to going to sleep and getting up at the same times. You also need to eat a nutritious breakfast and avoid caffeine and excitement before going to bed.  Make your room as dark as possible and try to block out noises.  Melatonin is a safe over the counter medication/herbal supplement that may help also.

  3. Go to be at a reasonable hour.  Get 30-60 minutes of exercise every day.  You won't sleep well if your body isn't tired.  Avoid caffeinated drinks after noon.   Keep your bedroom cool, dark and quite.  Run a fan for white noise is sounds wake you up in the night. If you have pets, do not let them sleep in your bedroom.  Set an alarm clock and if you ignore it, set it across the room on a box to amplify the sound.
