  1. CNC machine to cut all the parts.  This is assuming better means faster, cheaper, more precise, less labor.

If better means something else, then you'll have to say what better means.

  2. Your question could use more detail, for one thing, and certainly in the details are you trying to be a STAR player in the suggestion box?

While I cannot imagine the viability any longer, of any LOOSE food type products, even gum balls, being a viable enterprise, a wooden "Dispenser" while a quaint idea, seems even less viable as a customer source of a food product, loose or sealed. It seems more a novelty item to me.

Better is relative to us, since we have no images or idea of what a current dispenser looks like or how it functions. We also would have to have fairly detailed descriptions of the mechanisms that cause it to function and deliver the product.

With no offense meant this sounds like it isn't produced in the USA, and/or it isn't something that might have a huge customer base or profit margin for anyone.

In a general sense improvements might be more an engineering and design issue, involving wood species, methods of fabrication, any mechanics involved, and again with no offense meant, this sounds extremely primitive, given technology.

    Just my two "sense"
