  1. well i dont know pick up trash. dont litter. there are many different things you have to think on it what do you want to do ha im also 13 lol

well like i said there are many different things like not smoking because thats polutes the air.

um you think its your choice we can only give you ideas hope this helps

  2. Don't litter. Conserve water. Recycle everything.

And there are some organisations you can get involved in. I know that lots of socially aware organisations are youth minded and involved and they are a really good place to start.

Also getting your school involved can be a good idea, as well. Organising a fund-raising stall can be quite worthwhile

The MS Read-a-thon is a good option, too.

Shaving your head for Leukemia is also a good option.

Hunt around, there are lots of opportunities!

LOTS of people will try and tell you that you're too young.

    My advice? Ignore them.

I'm 16 and a bunch of my friends and I managed to get a whole fund-raising week going at my school when we were only 14/15 years old.

Young people are the most idealistic and I think that we are the people who can truly come up with ideas and GO THROUGH WITH THEM!

Never underestimate the power you have as a youth!

  3. If you call local charities they usually have someone in charge of helping you to organize a drive. Also many many volunteer opportunites are for ages 12 and up, so you would be accepted. Call around and search the net to find a cause that you feel strongly about and then get involved.

  4. Never underestimate the power you have!  In fact, your age may be an advantage because any projects a child does is seen as newsworthy and people support it.

Craig Kielburger was only 12 years old when he started Free the Children.  It quickly became a well-established organization with chapters around the world, and he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 3 times, and been on Oprah and every news show around.  Check out his website at http://www.freethechildren.com

You could start a Free the Children chapter at your school - or go through Oprah, who has partnered with Craig, and calls it 'O Ambassadors'.  That website is http://www.oambassadors.org

Another Canadian, Ryan, was only in grade one when he started Ryan's Wells.  Now they've built 319 wells in 14 countries.  Check out his website at http://www.ryanswell.ca/

Oh - I just found a site that lists a whole bunch of organizations started by kids:  http://www.idealist.org/kt/youthorgs.htm...

You could start one of your own, or do some fundraising for another organization, or start a chapter in your area of an existing organization!
