  1. determine what you NEED and what you WANT.

pay your BILLS first, if you have any, and THEN spend A LITTLE, but not A LOT.

put the rest ASIDE for when you NEED it.

did you enjoy the CAPITILAZIATION of IMPORTANT things?

  2. Rather than save money - think about it as directing money into different funds. It's a lot easier than you may think.

    Learn about paying yourself first.

  3. **** plenty of ways, there will always be like change left when u buy something save that up, even if its just pennies or just save 20% of what u get, use a lock that only a friend knows a combination to, then ask him for the combination when its an emergency, open saving account they dont let u take out ur money....

DID u know if u saved 2.50$ a day for a whole year it would come out more than 800 dollars, now imagine more than 2.505%

  4. staying at home

  5. stop spending it. Put it into a savings account that u cant touch.

  6. give your money to some2 you trust to hold on to it

hide it somewhere and lock it in

get some1 else to hide it

    dont spend it

dont go to places to spend (like where you want or need to spend the mall )

    avoid at all cost

  7. I use coupons, buy in bulk at Sam's club, use a vacuum sealer to seperate large bags of say, chicken into what I need just for one night, I buy the large jars cuz by weight, they cost less than the small jars do.  I use a bike more often, I don't change my thermostat, I turn off lights and unplug unneeded equipment and I make my own bread in bulk and freeze it.

  8. My grandfather owns over 180 salons and also restaurants, bars, arcades, bowling alleys, and commercial properties. He gave me a book by Dave Ramsey. It's a financial book and it's easy and funny to read. He swears by it!

  9. open a bank account , and every time that ugo cash ur check, tell em to take 100 dollars off, and to put them in savings account. and dont get a credit card, or a checks account.

  10. If you are working you can open an IDA account (individual development account).  You can go to www.cfed.org, look for IDA accounts.  What they do is match the money you save.  For example,  if you save $1,000 when you are ready to get your money you will have $2,000.  I plan to open one for myself.

  11. When i get money i BLOW IT faster than it comes in. But i can save money if i set a goal. I have a ninja 636 i have a hd tv and i have a S****y impala. but i had to say "hey i want this" and than it's way easier to save money for it. And if not than just take a loan from the mob and than u'll be motivated to save to pay it off. Cuz if you don't...they'll kill you. Thats not how I do it but i hear it works.

  12. Save 50 dollars a week for 10 years and you will have a million dollars. Just try it, and if you can manage to put 50 bucks away a week you should do it, Because if you ever need the money you will have it.

  13. Don't listen to any of them.

    1. Pay yourself first - This means every paycheck you get you should take some amount out, say 50 bucks for starters and put it somewhere... mattress maybe not, self control yes.  Get a savings account for now.  Then bump it up a few months down the line.

    2. Don't use credit cards, unless you can pay your balance in FULL every month.

    3.  Don't Eat Out as much, bring lunch to work!

    4.  Everyone should have a Roth IRA and max it out, check with your accountant.

Start there, and it's much easier to make money than save it.  Think outside the box.

  14. i know that this is gonna sound dumb..lol..but

1.)give the money to your parents to hold on to. that way they can tell you no when you want to spend it.

2.)get a savings account under your parents name. (the money can grow in the bank. but just a little though)

3.) make an impossible piggy bank. one where you will have to break it to get the money out.

4.) tell you self that you dont NEED what you want. you have to learn to establish between your wants and needs.

5.) have your self a big goal..like for say a ps3 and you want to go to mcdonalds or something..tell yourself that its worth it to wait for the ps3.

thats all i can think of

  15. Well don't buy all the useless -hit that you normally do and you will save money

  16. give it to me.

  17. save it at the bank

  18. Well, I have always collected pocket change off the street.

If I am lucky I can find a buck a week.

That would be $52.00 dollars more than you didn't have before from last year.

  19. i wish i could help I'm in same position, i started to think i really could hire a personal accountant. every-time i get money i must spend it also, iv over drawn my account by hundreds. im the worst person to ask a question like this. money an water are pretty much in the same category. oh well you'll be able to save once you find something really worth while. like i had no money saved until i needed a car, so i saved in the winter an now i have a great ride i saved for alone. good luck

  20. Hello - There are many way to do it, but one is to figure out how much money you ahve after saving for retirement and paying your bills -

List out how much money you have coming in each month. List out what your fixed costs are (rent/mortgage, car payment, car insurance, phone, cable, student loans, commute costs etc.) If you have credit card debt look at how much per card and which has the highest interest rates.

Then track every penny, every single one, you spend for a month. That will give you a very good idea of where your money is going. Track it by category -

    retirement (401K, etc.)

    home

    car (payment, insurance, etc.)

    gas

    cable/electric/water

    groceries

    eating out

    clothing

    movies/plays (include the popcorn)

    books

newspaper (if you already paid your news paper or magazine subscription, figure out the monthly cost and include that)

hanging out with friends (bar, pool etc)

non meal related drinks/snacks (Starbucks, diet coke, snacks)

    other

    other

(other could be alimony, whatever, things I did not list out but you have to pay)

and you will see quickly where your money is going. Then you can see if it is all the right places, or if you want to make a change and not buy so many clothes, see so many movies (or pass on the popcorn) etc.

Consider what is really important to you and what is not and spend accordingly.

When you decide what you will change for the upcoming month, be sure to put that money savings somewhere and not just spend it on something else (or put it towards paying down credit card debt). And keep tracking what you spend for at least 6 months. that will help you get into new habits and patterns.

Retirement savings are very important, so if you have a 401K or the equivalent, dont stop contributing to that. I see so many questions here about stopping contributing or taking the money already saved out, dont do that. The value of the compound interest is huge.

    Good Luck!

  21. depending on how much money i have i do this.

i usually leave a certain amount of money at home so i won't spend it.

or if i have friends who like to borrow money, i put a stash of money in a pocket nobody will look in and if they ask for money i tell them i'm broke lol :)

  22. dont buy anything and i mean it

  23. Well, you could do what I did for a while. What I did, was whenever I made money, I would take a portion of it, and put it somewhere besides my wallet so I would not see it in my wallet alot, and be tempted to spend it.

  24. keep you money under your mattress and if you feel the urge, smack your self with the pillow..LOL

  25. When you get it go to your bank and put it in a savings bank and tell them no withdrawals until . such and such date.

  26. http://www.101waystosavemoney.com/

  27. Keep like $100 for fun spending and then put whatever you don't need for bills or food away in a savings account.  Once you start to appreciate things you already have you won't feel the need to shop as much.

  28. ,make some extra money online doing like nothing!..lol. well it will help not with the spending problem but it will help get more money. =P

    ok well just go here

    http://bux3.com/?r=angelromanjr6

then make an acount and get payed to look at ads for 30 seconds i dont even look at them but ya! and you get payed directly to alertpay so you need to make one of those accounts at alertpay.com then you can send the money to your paypal. where you can buy stuff on ebay and resell it soooo basiclly your getting free money to buy stuff..or you can send it in to your adress if you filled out everything for real other wise it goes where ever you put the adress at. well thats what i do. =]

by the way im a 15 year old boy lol.. so you dont need a credit card or none of that.

  29. Every day set aside 5 dollars and don't touch that money.  Five dollars a day will add up.

  30. I have the same problem. What you should do is open up like three bank accounts, and you should put money in all of them. When you leave the house only bring one bank card with you so then you wont be tempted to spend all of your money.

  31. start with keeping a bank account, when you get a larger amount of money put it directly in the account

then whenever you go  out, leave your money at home. only take enough to spend on food

    good luck
