ok so when i was like way younger i used to be forced to take computer classes.  it is much easier to use computer games that they have at your local stores.  a very very good one to use is mavisbeacon 9.  it really helped me a while ago and it really goes through all of the basic skills that you should know when you are learning type.  the only thing with mavisbeacon9 is that it takes a little while to really get the hang of typing.  but its ok since it goes over it.  hope this helps you a little and good luck.
