In Oklahoma we call it pop. I have heard some people call all pop Coke.

In US we say french fries, but I think in other countries, they are called chips.

In Us we say so and so lives in an apartment, other country says a 'flat'

In Canada, and US, they're potato chips - crisps in other countries.

When I was growing up in the late 60s, we called french fries 'chips', like they do in England. I still do once in a while and it confounds my teen son.

In Western Canada where I live, we have pancakes. I know in the US they call them hotcakes, and other places call them flapjacks. Drives me crazy, because at our McDonald's they are listed as hotcakes!

What do you call a jam-filled round doughnut with no hole, sugar on the outside - usually regular sugar, sometimes powdered sugar? We call them Bismarks - but know some people call them jelly doughnuts.

Speaking of powdered sugar - we call it icing sugar.
