She has been diligent in heading up programs throughout High School in raising money for causes.

As well as representing her H.S. for REBEL- an anti smoking group.

She wants to do something with photography and art with a major in business.

Her leadership skills are very good also.

Are there full scholarships available with reputable colleges or is this sort of thing hard to come by ?

  1. Full scholarships are rare and VERY hard to come by.  Usually you get partial scholarships -- and if you're lucky, she might pick up a couple to combine.  Merit is the most obvious -- usually based first on grades, which you didn't mention, so not sure how she would stack up to competition there.  Most scholarships given by the colleges themselves are either merit (primarily grades-based) or based on financial need (plus merit, of course, as they want to be sure they're handing out money to those who will reflect well on the school).  Some organizations or universities also give out scholarships, based on competitions, merit, achievements, or simple coincidence (I recall reading abou one that has gone unclaimed so far, for males of Jewish descent born with a certain last name).
