I need some new ideas. Last year all I ate was PB&J and the occasional noodles in my thermos.

If you're vegetarian, would you please tell me what you bring to school or work?

You don't necessarily have to include the recipe, just the name of the food is fine.

  1. Pasta Salad

    Cold sesame noodles

    Veggie wraps

Egg Salad (if you eat eggs)

    3 bean salad

Cheese, lettuce and tomato (if you eat cheese)

  2. For lunch, I usually eat a sandwich, spaghetti or other pasta, Progresso lentil soup, couscous, beans, or a Tofurkey sausage. I also eat fish, so I sometimes have shrimp, tuna, or salmon.

  3. I have used to have the same problem what I bring is..

    cucumber salad

    pasta salad

    mixed green salad

    peanut butter and honey sandwich

this sandwich I made up it is on rye bread with tomatoes, Swiss cheese, potato chips, lettus, and honey mustard

    fruit salad

a wrap with beans, corn, cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

    tomato mozzarella salad

Casar salad with vegan cesar dressing

Another thing you could do is pack some fruit, a slice of bread, some nuts, apple juice, and some carrots and ranch dressing and maybe a bag of potato chips so you have all of you food groups (with nuts for protein instead of meat)

And try to switch around what you eat so you don't get tired of the food fast like one day eat pasta salad and the next day eat fruit salad.

    I hoped this helped =]]

  4. I have a microwave so I reheat a lot of my leftovers.

But I've also brought veggie sandwiches

    Hummus and carrots

A big muffin would be good?

  5. I got a special tupperware to bring salads to work, it's from Linens and Things or Bed Bath and Beyond and has a built in ice pack which keeps greens or pasta cold and fresh for up to 5 hours.  There is also a built in cup so that you don't have to add your dressing until you're ready to eat.

I use it at least 3 days a week and have salads, pasta salads, egg salads, potato salads, add nuts and seeds for more a more filling meal.

Cabbage salad: chopped cabbage, finely chopped scallions or green onion, broken up ramen noodles (plain), and sunflower seeds.  Mix in an oriental, asian or sesame salad dressing when you're ready to eat it's delicious.
