  1. For what Hitting Fielding or pitching?  You might want to be a little more clear.

  2. Plyometrics will workout your entire body while making you more explosive in the process. You will hit the ball with greater velocity and be able to spring out of the seated position and throw guys out quicker.

    Also....

Flexibility, mechanics, and a wood bat will get you on your way to becoming a better hitter. Now before you look away from this let me explain. I can bet good money that you are not as flexible as a gymnast so until you are you have not done your job on making yourself flexible, which will make it easier for your body to move when you hit the ball and run the bases.

Now for mechanics, you have to video tape your hitting mechanics and learn where you are making errors in the hitting motion. Watch video of how Major League ballplayers hit the ball (go to www.mlb.com or www.youtube.com or google search "MLB First Year Player Draft") and take the quality basics of their mechanics in the videos and apply it to how you hit the baseball. For more info click here http://theprospect09.googlepages.com and see "Hitting With Success" and "Why You Should Hit With Wood." This is a professional service that I provide for the public so that we can educate kids just like you who are trying to pursure their dreams.

Good luck with the training! Feel free to email me if you have any questions at theprospect09@gmail.com. Look forward to talking with you.

  3. Well for hitting, but one of those bats with the skinny barrels, for hand eye coordination.

For fielding play catch against a wall.

For pitching play catch against a wall.

do some agility drills like ladders, and have someone throw some tennis ball at you and make you run for them.

Practice running the bases for speed and make game situations, like pretend u on first and gotta steal, or u gotta steal home to win a game, it will help you when you actually do it.

  4. While this isn't a drill per say, when growing up my friends and I would play a game we called "Errors."  You need only two people and you stand across from each other about 60-90ft apart.  The goal of the game is to to make your oppenent make errors.  You can throw the baseball anyway you want, pop ups, one hoppers, grounders, line drives.  Throw the ball as hard as you want or as soft as you want.  The goal is like I said to make them make an error.  There is also no limit on when you can throw the ball back.  i.e. once you catch the ball you can fire it right back.

While the game is easy it will definitly improve your fielding skills, improve your reaction time, and also strengthen your arm for throwing.

However I do recommend that you fully warm up your arm before, and make sure you wear a cup (if you are a boy).  YOu don't want to take a one hooper to the boys downstairs.

Also this game works better on hard surfaces like an infield or on the road.  It will beat up your baseball pretty bad, but its worth it because of the skill you develop
