I know what people are doing now but what are some big things they'll have to do in the future?

  1. Instead of turning up your central heating, put a jumper on.

Grow your own fruit and veg.

Plant a tree in your back yard.

    Recycle

    Bike to work

    By produce closer to home

Dry your clothes on a washing line.

Don't put the computer or tv on standby.

    Use a compost bin

    Turn lights off whenever possible.

If we all did at least 3 off these suggestions it would make a huge difference. And to the person who said global warming is a lie, the evidence hugely out weights your idea. for example     "International scientific consensus agrees that increasing levels of man-made greenhouse gases are leading to global climate change. Possible consequences of climate change include rising temperatures, changing sea levels, and impacts on global weather. These changes could have serious impacts on the world's organisms and on the lives of millions of people, especially those living in areas vulnerable to extreme natural conditions such as flooding and drought."

  2. Global warming is a lie!

  3. you asked about the future- well, if our culture continues to evolve towards greener living at the rate that it is now, im sure that loads more people will be giving up beef as a staple in their diet, and dairy as well; this is, of course, because the meat and dairy industry are doing a h**l of a lot to destroy the planet right now.

i seriously doubt humans will ever all turn completely vegan without being forced to.... but there will definitely be a continuance of the organic movement as well as the trend of buying beef from butchers and eggs, milk, and cheese from local farms. people wanna know theyre eating pure food. everybodys scared of getting sick from substandard sources of "mystery meat" and hormone overdose.

loads of people wanna purchase hybrid cars, but dont have the budget to. its for this reason also that i believe people will continue to eat at lower and lower levels on the food pyramid. after all, they say that vegans in hummers are greener than meat eaters in hybrids.

  4. We may have to pick up arms against those who wish to use this myth to steal our money, rights, and liberty.  The sun dictates climate on this planet, not a trace gas like CO2.

  5. Global warming is a con game for economic and political power by a group of politicians around the world. It has not happened, will not happen and cannot happen and anybody with even an average high school education should know better or our schools are in worse shape than I thought they were. The sea level rise happened 11,000 years ago when the ice age ended and the mile high glaciers melted. Global warming or climate change as they now call it is on about the same level of truth as the Nigerian email scam or those emails supposedly from your bank wanting you to reenter your security information so they can clean you out. So be careful if you accept the AGW scam you are prime meat for any of the rash of identity theft email scams out there.

  6. They can stop breathing. The amount of carbon dioxide people are exhaling is bad for the atmosphere.

  7. die out, I mean we may well see large portions of populations across the world being left to fend for themselves in harsh environments

  8. Nothing but trie the corrupt scientists who lied. They say it is real against all evidence, including theries being proven wrong.

  9. With 6 billion people on Earth and only 1/3 of America people believe in global warming and the rest of the world does not. I think any thing you do will not change a thing!

  10. These are some of what I am doing:

Change a light. Replacing a regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent one saves 150 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.*

Drive less. Walk, bike, carpool, take mass transit, and/or trip chain. All of these things can help reduce gas consumption and one pound of carbon dioxide for each mile you do not drive.

Recycle more and buy recycled. Save up to 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide each year just by recycling half of your household waste. By recycling and buying products with recycled content you also save energy, resources and landfill space!

Check your tires. Properly inflated tires mean good gas mileage. For each gallon of gas saved, 20 pounds of carbon dioxide are also never produced.

Use less hot water. It takes a lot of energy to heat water. Reducing the amount used means big savings in not only your energy bills, but also in carbon dioxide emissions. Using cold water for your wash saves 500 pounds of carbon dioxide a year, and using a low flow showerhead reduces 350 pounds of carbon dioxide. Make the most of your hot water by insulating your tank and keeping the temperature at or below 120.

Avoid products with a lot of packaging. Preventing waste from being created in the first place means that there is less energy wasted and fewer resources consumed. When you purchase products with the least amount of packaging, not only do you save money, but you also help the environment! Reducing your garbage by 10% reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 1,200 pounds.

Adjust your thermostat. Keeping your thermostat at 68 degrees in winter and 78 degrees in summer not only helps with your energy bills, but it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions as well. No matter where you set your dial, two degrees cooler in the winter or warmer in the summer can mean a reduction of 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.

Plant a tree. A single tree can absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.

Turn off electronic devices when not in use. Simply turning off your TV, VCR, computer and other electronic devices can save each household thousand of pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

  11. Well, due to global warming the polar ice caps will melt and flood the world.I guess people will have to swim more?...Sorry, for the sarcasm but it is true though.Cheers!;)

  12. Humans just _might_ have to quit whining, quit trying to change the unchangeable, and _adapt_!

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

    Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':

    Humans did not cause it.

    Humans cannot stop it.

  13. In 50 years the cost of fresh water to drink will exceed the cost of gasoline.

  14. plant more trees
