  1. dirty, noisy, slow service, rude staff, ugly decor, long wait for the check, poorly maintained (lights burned out, table wobbles, chair back broken, carpet worn)

that ought to get you rollin!

  2. Well let's see..I've worked in restaurants for over 10 years, and I've been in my fair share of bad resaurants.  First of all, if you walk in the door, and no one is there to greet you, that's not good.  secondly, if the menus are sticky and shabby, that's a bad sign.  If the server takes forever to acknowledge you ( saying "i will be with you in a minute is still an acknowledgement), you know you're in for a long dinner.  Bathrooms, if there is no toilet paper, paper towel, or soap, BAD SIGN.  If the bathroom is dirty, imagine the cleanliness of the kichen!  One other thing, if you hear all the severs congregating together and talking about what they did the night before, how drunk they got and who screwed who, chances are you should get up and leave the restaurant!  Hope this helps!!

  3. I ate at a authentic mexican restaurant in Kansas City. I can't remember the name but it was on Southwest Blvd. I never went back there to eat b/c of what I saw.

I saw the waitress cleaning a table. They took the bus tray back to the waiters station. Where we were seated I could see all of this happening....the waitress took the basket of chips from an empty table emptied them in a trashcan then took the baskets to push the trash down in the basket. I assumed she would put the basket back into the bus tub so it could be washed........NOPE she filled them back up with chips and gave it to the next incoming customers!

    THATS FREAKING GROSS!!!!!

  4. I worked in the Culinary Arts Field for over 20 years. When I go to a new restaurant some of the things I do before I eat: Go to the restroom look to see if it is clean. If I can I walk by the kitchen, look in to see if it is clean, and if the works there are clean or if their personal hygiene is questionable. If they ( the employees there) just look like they have been working in a hot kitchen or if they look like they haven't changed clothes or bathed for days. I look at the floor- is it clean.  If there is a salad bar - is it kept up and clean looking. When the bus person is cleaning a table does he/ she *wipe the table and the chairs or bench with the same towel. The towel thing is a big deal for me, because of the germs and where the previous customer may have sat on a toilet and got some pee etc on his or her pants then set on that chair, now the bus person is wiping the tables with the same towel as the table. (Bet not a lot of people think of that one). Does the cashier also handle food ? Is there a wash sink for the wait staff?  Do employees wash their hands after using the restroom? If I can see the cooks are their hair and beards properly tied or kept. If the waiter is fooling with his or her hair or pushing it back all the time- that grosses me out too.

  5. This is a BAD restuarant because the food tasted bad, the place was dirty, nobody else was eating there ( it was unpopular because it is a bad place to eat).

  6. The food was overcooked, it took to long to get, it was cold. The waiter or waitress took the order wrong, disrespectful to the people at my table, didnt stop and fill our drinks...ever.

Mice ran in the lobby area. The silverware was dirty...hope this helps.

  7. Cultural music and no booze licence

  8. The waitress forgot something of your order or wasn't very friendly.

It was very busy and there was not enough seating so you had to leave right after finishing your dinner.

They serve the table that arrived way later then you their food first.

    The food was uncooked.

There was a hair in the food.

I hope some of this helps.

  9. The bread was cold and stale. The butter was cold. The pasta was bland and had too much salt. The dessert was frozen and not fresh. The shrimp was chewy.

  10. well, you could say something like....

this restaurant was terrible because first off i had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. then when i finally got seated, they didn't offer me a drink or anything, they just dropped off menus and left. when the waitress came over to take our order, she was quite rude. we ordered three things that they were out of before finally settling on something they did have. when we got our food, it was cold, and when we asked to speak to someone about our bad experience, they just blew us off. ......

THAT'S a BAD restaurant! good luck!
