  1. A relatively easy project is to make a custom headboard. You need a sheet of plywood, some batting (several layers to make it nice and cushioned), and a cool piece of fabric. Just place the batting and fabric down and wrap them around the edges of the board and staple them with a staple gun.

You could also do the same thing with smaller pieces of wood in various shapes. Then hang them on the walls for art pieces.

If you are really creative buy some blank canvases from the craft store and paint an abstract that matches the room. Paint splatters take no talent at all and look pretty cool!

Another idea is to buy some of the wooden shelves they sell in craft stores and hand paint them to match the room.

Any of the other wooden items they sell could work, too- a chair or small table?? A set of wooden letters spelling out his or her name or other word (school mascot?? favorite band name??)

  2. -Make pillows or a quilt out of old concert t-shirts.

-Pick up a large canvas at an art supply store and paint it her favorite color. Cris cross a contrasting ribbon and fasten it on the edges with staples and you have a memo/photo board to hang on the wall.

-Pick up some fishing wire, alligator clips, and and a horizontal wall mount and make a curtain for photos. Take the wire and tie on a clip every 7 or so inches. Fasten to the wall mount and spead them out across the mount in a way that makes them even and appearing like a curtain of photos. Great way to spice up a large boring track of wall.

-Pick up some colored decorative hooks like the following http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/cat... and space them out along one wall so she can hang her purses up.

-Visit a craft store or thrift shop and pick up an old mirror and some decorative tiles. In a safe way, smash the tile up into small pieces and mix up different colors and glue them onto the edge of the mirror to create a mosaic border.

    Hope that helps!

  3. well for an idea my daughter painted her room the favorite color and all she wanted was her fav celebs whatever inspires your daughter and she wanted to put them up on her wall with a nice fabric behind and pictures of her and friends she says its cool and it looks good too well i have no other ideas good luck and have fun!

  4. Get 9 equal size mirrors, NOT TOO BIG!  And, for example, lets say that each was 12in x 12in.  Put them together on a wall with the type of glue you would need to get it to stick (3 across, 3 down for a square shape).  Then buy some wood to make the frame around it all and paint it whatever color you want.  Then get matching buttons, and at every spot where the mirror corners come together, glue a button.  You should need 4 buttons.  It'll look awesome and it kinda looks like it was "quilted" on the wall...that is my best way of describing it.  You can get even smaller mirrors and make it w/ more corners touching so there are more buttons if u want also!  :-)
