What are standard Babysitting rates in the Chicago area?

I just moved here from Texas and I charged five dollars for one child and an extra dollar for every child after that per hour. EX: I would charge a family with four children eight dollars an hour. Is this too low or high for where I am living now? What does everyone else charge (no matter where you live) HELP!

i live in chicago and i usually get 10.00 an hour flat rate.

i've never babysat for more than 2 at a time though.

5 dollars for one child is way too low! girl you need to charge more. i think minimum wage is now somewhere around 7 dollars. and you're doing an important job watching someone's kids...so i say get as much as you possibly can =)
