im thinking of applying at home depot and lowes and, like everyone, i want to get as much money as i can starting. what do they start at usually? i have no experience in that specific sector, but im prior military and currently enlisted in the national guard and i know they look highly upon that. would it be too much to ask for $17 or even more?

  1. those are truely great american corporations, a reasonable payment for someone like you would be minimum wage, dont be a burden, be a servant

  2. You may not be able to make that with no previous experience.  The only way you are going to make above 12 dollars an hour is if you get into a position of management.

BTW, the floor price at my home depot is 7.75 an hour, average full time career associates make between 12-14 dollars an hour.  Obviously if you are an expert in a particular area you are able to make that 17 $.
