  1. Swords are for killing. That's why they are sharp.

  2. weapons

  3. murder u stupid dipshit

  4. cutting Onions and Ginger.

  5. as weapons obviously. how you use it, it's up to you.

  6. You do realize sakabatou are a fictional weapon with no historical relevance, yes? Anything produced is likely produced with 440 stainless, or, at best, 1020 carbon, and not a traditional tamahagane or even a decent spring steel. It's more likely to break than function adequately. Trust me: I've got more than my fair share of scars from clashing in my younger days.

A sword is a tool. It's a piece of metal with numerous uses, only a few of which are as a lethal weapon -- off hand, it can be used as weight, measure, mock-horizon (if someone were holding a lantern in the dark and moving, you could determine at distance whether they were moving toward or away)...

What you make of it is entirely up to you.

  7. swords are used for protection and to conceal a weapon type of choice with a legal permit.

  8. Japanese philosophy divided sword usage into three categories:

The Sword of Death - feeds the ego.  Bandits, thieves, anyone using the sword in a self-serving and selfish manner.

The Sword of Life - Anyone using the sword to help others...good guys so to speak.

The Sword of No Sword - a Zen concept that I readily admit I do not fully understand.  This Way is a denial of the ego, and allows the practitioner to act in accordance with Zen.  If that sounds a bit vague, remember, I don't really understand it myself!  :)

This is only one of many philosophies concerning the use of a sword...there are many others out there.

  9. You obviously know nothing about swords or swordsmanship.

  10. 99.9999999999% or the time a sword is just a display
