  1. Symptoms

The symptoms of arthritis range from mild aches and flu-like discomfort to all-consuming, crippling, chronic pain. Swelling, aching, throbbing discomfort at rest, to grinding breath stealing pain with movement have been described. Arthritis is a chronic condition that continues to perplex and frustrate both those who suffer with the disease and those who attempt to treat the disease. 2. Swollen painful joints are some of the symptoms of arthritis. There are many types of this disease and it will be necessary to find out which one you are suffering from if you do have the disease. there is no cure but medications to treat the symptoms are available. Even over the counter medications like glucosamine will help

  3. Severe pain and swelling and stiffness in the joints are the cardinal signs of arthritis.  It's a myth that popping your knuckles will cause arthritis.  The best thing to do would be to work on stopping the habit, even though it is basically harmless.

  4. It could be arthritis, but not necessarily.  I have a mild case in my hands after years of cross-stitching and playing piano, but the only time it really bothers me now is when the weather changes--when a front is coming in, my hands ache.  It's a pain in the a** being an accurate weather forecaster.
