    I would just like to ad something to what I consider to be a given in her answer, but others might not see. Taking vocational or technical courses does not mean you are less intelligent. Many people that go to technical and vocational schools go on to college.

    Also, the great thing about vocation training is that in some of these fields it will always be easier for you to find a job, and you can do very well for yourself. The world will always need electricians etc., and these are jobs that have to be done in person and cannot be outsourced over seas.


  2. Remedial courses are courses that a person takes to help improve a certain deficiency in subject such as remedial reading or math.  Remedial courses are usually given to those who tested below grade level on an assessment (test).

    Technical courses and vocational courses are basically the same thing.  They are courses that provide specific training in a skill to be pursued as a trade such as mechanic or cosmetology.  You are usually awarded a certificate that certifies you in that trade once you completed all courses and pass an exam.
