  1. At my restaurants its

    1.) Greet table within 30 seconds of being sat tell them about off the menu specials if it applies

    2.) Intoduce yourself ask have you been here before and suggest a specific drink such as a margarita or an iced tea

    3.) Suggest a specific appitizer like cheese sticks or grilled shrimp. (it's good to suggest a fried/non fried food.) depending on the amount of guests suggest certain apps such as 2 people grilled shrimp 4 or more nachos or a larger appitizer

    4.) Turn in apps and get drinks within 2 min

    5.) Ask guests if they have any questions about the menu and when they order repeat order back at the end.

    6.) suggest add ons like lobster tails or sauteed mushrooms

    7.) Appitizer should be ready drop off app and ask if there is anything else to go with it such as add. dipping sauces.

    8.) Turn in order.  (ALWAYS WAIT TIL APP GETS TO TABLE BEFORE TURNING IN SALADS IF IT APPLIES)

    9.) Take salads to table. (clear apps and app plates)

    10.) Check back after 2 minutes to make sure salads are good

    11.) walk by table to make sure everything is good. full drinks ect cleaning up any messes.  but you don't have to say anything

    12.) Take food and ask if there is anything else to go with their meal  clear salads (be sure food is right before you take it to table, as in not missing any items)

    13.) check back within 2 min

    14.) repeat 11

    15.) about 2/3 through meal (be sure you have their check ready in a check presenter) offer coffee or a specific dessert if guest says no then drop check off in check presenter. let them know that whenever they are ready you'll be the cashier.

    16.) if guest has food left on plates and they are done offer to box their food (at the table) be sure you date the box and put what is in it.

    18.) thank the customer sincerly (my name is ___it's been a pleasure serving you tonight) and be back with change or credit card within 3 min.  be sure to thank the guest by name if paying by credit card. and say my name is

    Always be sure to clear dirty plates.  Don't forget to always help out your co-workers by refilling tea and water also bussing their tables.

    3) Bring appetizer, take food order.

    4) Bring food set-ups.

    5) Entertain your guest.

    6) Secret Service- Anticipate your guests needs (ie, mustard for their sandwhich, drink refills, etc).

    7) Bring food to table.

    8) Check back in 2 bites/2 minutes.

    9) Golden rule- no hands free (when pre-bussing tables, always take as much as you can carry).

    10) Suggest coffee/dessert.

    11) Promptly bring check,

    12) Thank guest when leaving.
