    well there is hydrogen nickel and helium

    compounds are just a group of molecules or ions reffering to the group as a whole. for example sodium chloride does not have molecules but it stays in a crystal, so it is called a compound, reffering to water would be a compound, but reffering to a specific water molecule would be a molecule.

    a compound would be sodium chloride, water, benzene, just molecules found together in a large group

    so an element would be a certain type of atom with a specific number of protons, and a compound would be a group of molecules

    EDIT were you trying to say "the three states of matter" if yes then the other answerers are righrt, it is solid liquid or gas. I thought you meant three kinds of elements, solid liquid and gas are not elements, they are just states of matter

  3. The three kinds of elements  are solid, liquid, and gas but there is a 4th it is called plasma and a compound is 2 elements that are chemically combined together.
