  1. there are only 3 and they are space, time and dynamics.

    SPACE

shape, performance space, general space, symmetry, direction, level, pathways etc

    TIME

tempo, duration, momentum, beat, count, accent etc

    DYNAMICS

    release of energy, weight/force.

  2. I have always heard 7... They are posted in my dance studio.

    1. Space- general and personal

    2. Direction- upstage, downstage, diagonal, etc.

    3. Shape- curved, sharp, etc.

    4. Tempo- slow, fast, medium

    5. Level- high, low, medium

    6. Size- big, small, medium

    7. Locomotor (Pathways)- curved, straigh, zig-zag, etc.

  3. We've learnt 7.

    1. Stage Space

    - which parts of the stage used

    2. Costume

    - what is worn for the dance

    3. Make-up/Hair

    - pretty self-explanatory

    4. Sound

    - the music the dance is performed to

    5. Lighting

    - lighting used on the stage

    6. Props

    - any props used

    7. Scenery

    - backdrops or any other scene.

Sorry if this isn't any help.

  4. It depends on what system you use.

I dance in the Laurel Martyn system and the elements are as follows:

    1: Control

    2: Transference of weight

    3: Balance and line

    4: Elevation

    5: Turning

6: Use of head and arms

    7: Bending and stretching

8: Music and awareness of time

9: Awareness of weight and quality

    10: Awareness of space

    11: Flow and co-ordination

    12: Group and partner work

But that is 12. Alternatively I can give you a different list, but it is only four. They are:

    1. Time

    2. Space

    3. Shape

    4. Dynamics

    Hope that helps :)
