  1. The five physiographic regions of Georgia are the Coastal Plain, the Piedmont Region, the Blue Ridge Region, the Ridge and Valley Region, and the Appalachian Plateau.

    1.   Coastal Plain - associated with the Georgia coast, a low, flat region of well-drained, gently rolling hills and poorly drained flatwoods.  In Georgia, the Atlantic Ocean forms the eastern border of the Coastal Plain. The southern border of this province is formed by the Gulf of Mexico, in the State of Florida.

    2. The Piedmont region - contains a series of rolling hills and occasional isolated mountains. Rivers and ravines are found throughout this province of oak-hickory-pine forests and mixed deciduous forests.

    3.  Blue Ridge region - occupies the northeastern portion of Georgia. It consists of an irregular sequence of mountains, ridges, and basins. The Blue Ridge Mountains and Cohutta Mountains form most of this province.

    4. Ridge and Valley region -  occupies most of northwestern portion of Georgia. It includes the Chickamauga Valley, Armuchee Ridges, and the Great Valley.

    5. Appalachian Plateau - this mountainous province is found in extreme northwestern Georgia. Its most prominent features are Lookout and Sand Mountains.

  2. Lucky...I just so happen to be doing a project on GA.

    The regions are:

Appalachian Plateau-the smallest region. it has the applachian mountains

Valley&Ridge-its major industires are textile and carpet manufacturing. it is the second smallest region.

Piedmont-the second largest region. its southern part is on the fall line.

Blue Ridge-the northeastern part of ga.

Coastal Plain-almost half of georgia. it is home to the okefenokee swamp
