  1. In bad situations the King can prove himself and win peoples respect.

Many presidents push their country's to the limit and leave the mess for the next guy to clean up.

A king has the job for life he would have been trained for the job since birth and you know that he will always be doing his best.

  2. You know who to blame if things go wrong he can lead your though disaster with his wisdom.

disadvantages you could get an vlad the implailer or ivan the terrible and yes aboute power is corrupting  very corrupting

  3. An intersting point for being born into absolute power was that, when execised properly, good rulers saw it as their duty to look after their subjects and this applie from the king down to the lords etc.  In contrast, a true meritocracy tuns the risk of those at the top seeing themselves as "deserving" and those who have not acheived as "undeserving" the fault of this is that any meritocract is ultimately skewed towards selected talents and those who do not fit that mould suffer.

On the other hand the truth with autocracy is that many absolute power corruts absolutely in the end, even among dictators who start out good.

  4. there are no advantages. it is not true that monarchs are or ever have been trained from birth to be competent administrators they were always taught how to loo after there own power and wealth. monarchs due to there insular upbringing and notions such as divine right or anything similar do not empathize with the majority of the people. they can not be replaced is the people find them wanting. monarchy rests largely on the notion of Honor which leads us in to problems with war as it is often thought the sign of a good monarch to win a war and harsh social condition were people who do not know "there place" are despised. it also means that subsequent rulers will be chosen for no reason better than there birth. political freedom will cease to exist and very likely with it freedom of speech and religion at least and maybe other freedoms depending on the whim of the monarch, ut definitely the afer mentioned freedoms will go as they people posesing such freedom is incompatible with absolutist monarchy. it is also not true that a monarch is an inpartial leader, this falacy is often heard in such bebates but is utter nonsence, a monarch to be a political leader must by definition enter politics, they must make decisions that have consequences, some will agree with them and some will not, and as we see the country is now divided, now of course the people could just shut up and respect the monarchs decision, but as you can see that is just the loss of political freedom and the freedom of speech as I said before, and can anyone really beleive that a state of affiars such as that is in any way preferable to our current democratic system? essentialy monarchys exist for the glorofication of the monarch, they are not a valid form of government, they do not exist for the benifit of the people, when discussing the best for of government monarchy is not even an option, the absolute monarch of history and those that persist in the less politicaly developed parts of the world today spend there days wollowing in luxury, making gradiose public appearances and making deals that sometimes made the selves richer and more powerfull or did the same for the nation, and that is to say they give "glory" waht ever that is to the nation but do nothing for its citizens but seldom do they ever sit down in an office and apply themselves to the nitty gritty of administering to the people. absolute monarchs only steal fronm there people, they take there rights and the prosperity and use it for there own selfish ends. I am so ver sick and tired of people who do not apreciate just how far we have progressed, they do not realize that the proserity and freedom they have now is unprecidented in history, the fact that we do not suffer abject poverty or that we can apeak our minds on anything or replace a government that does not suit us are al l tremendous things and many of the rights we have know were known only to lords in the past, the peasents which were most of the population starved and lived in ignorance with no rights while only an aristocrat had any say or education and no this is simply taken for granted by every citizen in the western world, we, the average peolpe have risen above the station of the most powerful classes of the past, and now there are people sitting around and pontificating ove wether or not it would be good to go back to that, a world with no freedom, rights, material or interlectual prosperity for the vast majority. I cincearly hope that the people never are so gulible and stupid as to fall for this, you should all realize and apreciate what we have now, and if you find it wanting in any way simply work for its betterment and stop all of this reaction.

  5. Absolute power corrupts absolutely
