What are the Contents of a Will

so what are the common contents of a will other than belongings?

as a kid i always thought it was just to state who gets what when one dies.

but now that I'm older I'm aware it isn't just that

so what are the common contents of a Will?

That's what it really is, a list of assets, and instructions on who gets what.  

It can also say stuff like, "I'm not giving Joe anything because he's a jerk and killed my kitten back in 1952".
