  1. The earth’s bio-mass, oceans, volcanoes, forest-fires, the Sun, and some people credit cosmic rays. Water vapor traps more heat than all the other green-house gasses combined.

Emissions  by man are minor and play no role in global warming.

  2. Hello,,government lobbies set up for the killing of the human race,,as long as they die with a lot of money,,that's the American way anymore!!s***w the world and the people that love life,,just make them pay more before the end gets down the street,,better find life on Mars fast!!some dumb b*****d needs to pack fast!!

  3. The real cause is the sun. The sun goes through what is known as a solar cycle, where it changes greatly in temperature over a course of about 11 years before going back through the cycle. The global warming method:

    1 part solar cycle

23940267394067209626 part Al Gore is an idiot

Shake violently, and here you have it!

  4. Al Gore running around spewing that hot air and bull chit. If you people believe that he is right how can you stand by a man who feeds you this c**p and does everthing he can possibly do to contribute to the problem. He says he has to fly everywhere in the world in his private jet burning up 20,000- lbs of jet fuel every day. He never turns off a light in his 30 room mansion and has every convienence known to man. He rides around in a vehicle that gets 3 or 4 miles to the gallon. But he owns several so called companies that sell carbon offsets. So he gets rich doing this c**p and convincing the people to fall for the GLOBAL WARMING CRISIS.  Ask yourself if he really believed the c**p that comes from his mouth would he live this way?   Ask yourself who are the real IDIOTS in this game.

  5. I look at GW more as climate change. Humans are burning 85 million barrels of oil per day, and using some of it to cut down trees, drain wetlands, build tall buildings, and lay black top. Even cooling towers, releasing refrigerants, filling up at the gas station, sewage are contributing to this change. We must have a plan. and we do you can read it at CoolingEarth.org

  6. Dana is right -- The sun is the main source of warmth, and there are different factors that influence just how much the sun does warm the earth, including changes in the sun's radiation, the earth's orbit, greenhouse gases, reflectivity of the earth's surface (i.e. very light colored ice and snow vs. darker land and ocean water), ocean currents, and cloud coverage.

All of these factors contribute to climate change naturally.  The issue we're now seeing is a man-made increase in greenhouse gases, which is expected to lead to some feedback effects from other factors.  For example, as the ice caps melt, less light will be reflected back into space, and this will further increase the warming effect.

EDIT:  Joseph, scientists don't debate the facts.  Debate is for opinions.  Scientists publish their findings in scientific journals for peer review.

And although some may have a problem with the oil companies themselves, most people who are concerned about AGW just want higher fuel efficiency and alternative fuel sources.  If Exxon wants to lead the way, more power to them.

  7. IGNORANCE ... we as citizens of planet earth don't understand the future and rather ignore it more than care! Yes ... I admit we talk about it and try to do something about it, but honestly cleaning trashed highways, using less electricity, and less showers really is not the major issue! The issue is that in the next decade or more, we as a human race will have to leap to a new renewable energy resource, like we all know. WE ALL have to stop using oil(or at least lower consumption) and WE ALL need to try to use less fossil fuels and use a new resource.

Someday we all will have to recycle our cars for new inventions, and the next few decades will be hard, because all the building conveniences of cars and oil based products will need to be let go so we can move on as a species. A NEW ENERGY REVOLUTION!! BAN OIL!! we survived long before without it.

  8. Politicians talking too much.

  9. I agree, Ignorance is part of the contributing factors and add Propaganda.

Why won't any of the Proponents of man-made global warming debate any of the scientists who disagree?

Why isn't any network organizing this debate?

    What are they afraid of?

    It's pure propaganda.

Some of the other posts have made it clear.  They are not concerned about the environment, they want to stop the oil companies and stop capitalism.

  10. Greenhouse gases, solar output, the Earth's reflectivity, orbital cycles around the Sun, etc. etc.  See the link below for a summary.

  11. Al Gore wants to be rich.  Very rich.  So he bought some junk wannabe scientists and a motely camera crew and made a movie about his global warming scheme.  Film crews and scientists can be bought.  Every government registered lobbyist was at his door begging to be included in this money making scam.  So he bought them too.  Together they spread their corrupt lies and some still try to this very day.

Thankfully nothing they've said is true.  It's time to imprison them and throw away the keys.

    The facts of global warming.

  12. Mankind's greed,  as well as ignorance of basic physics!

50 years ago, one of the first questions I ever asked my father was "Where does all the smoke from the cars go to?"  All he could say was "Away, up into the sky."

I knew then that there was more to it!

Since then, I've witnessed the degradation of our planet for power and profit!

    How sad!
