"Research shows presence of women in leadership raises the standards of ethical behavior and lowers corruption."

Since women have had a secondary role in United States leadership, income, education, and available capital to invest, as based on United States statistics, this quote by an American political leader seemed worthy of reflection.

  1. The research is well founded, but , with the understanding that leadership is not only in the hands of the elected, there are many people behind that individual all with an input, it would be not only the strength of the woman, but would she, be allowed to exercise that strength in"leadership" that is  the effectiveness, of a leader whether it be a woman, or a man.

  2. As an American living in a country that has a woman president. I don't believe there has been any difference. The crime rate is still high. The corruption, you cannot believe the corruption here in the philippines, its just so blatant and gross.

There are massive human rights violations, the economy is unstable despite the governments effort to parade the decreased value of the dollar. more than a million of children are still homeless plus the education is by far, the worst I've seen in any "industrialized" country in the South East Asian Region.

I don't believe having a woman as a leader will make a big difference. Regardless of s*x, leaders of states should only think of the welfare of its citizens more than anything else.

  3. In regard to the presidency, women deserve a chance as the men have been fuc-ing it up long enough.

  4. I don't think there are any facts to support this statement. that the presence of women in leadership raises the standards of ethical behavior. Certainly , the presence of  Hillary  Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, haven't improved the situation any. Whoever wrote this had a grant from the government somewhere. Slanted  too much to suit me.

  5. Raising ethical behavior does not necessarly lower corruption. Corruption is unethical human behavior, not gender specific. If anything, more women in govt (the old boys club as it is) may prevent unethical behavior since politicians see women as possible whistle blowers and candidates to content with.

  6. Since it is a quote by an American politician, it is at best an opinion based on personal observance, or at worst, an out and out lie.

A quote from someone is just what he happens to believe. I doubt even he/she knows for sure what research he/she is referring to.

  7. It doesn't seem to have any effect regarding Nancy Pelosi.
