What are the Illinois state requirements to teach pre-school at a daycare?

If I have a bachelor of arts in social science w/concentration in education will that do even though it's not an early childhood ed degree? Also what are wages like in IL?

  1. For pre-school, that should be okay. BUT the teachers pay is less than $20k/year. Since you have a 4 year degree, I would find out how to get a teaching certificate so you can teach in the public school system. Try going to IL dept of education website for further info.
