  1. Most Muslims will not help Christians. You ask and I answered.

  2. Muslims don't boast about their charity work. we are taught to give in secrecy. we don't do it for personal recognition.

"If you disclose the act of charity, even so it is well; but if you conceal it and make it reach those who are really in need, that is best for you. It will remove from you some of your stains of wrongdoing, and Allah is well acquainted with what you do." (2:171)

  3. iam sure that they do charity everywhere whether in teh gulf of not...

islam encourages by all ways for doing charity somany muslims do with less or more but they don't go telling everyone or may be the media don't show that good side of them....

  4. What are you doing?

  5. What's your point? Does my ignorance of organized Muslim charities mean they do not exist? What if there aren't any organized charities but rather a plethora of individual outreaches? Would that lessen the impact of bringing love into the world? Were the actions that your Christ took on his own (not as part of an organized group) lesser in import to the actions that he took as part of a group?

Sawyer - what is your intention? Is it increase love or to increase hate?

  6. I live on the coast and I haven't heard anything about them helping with anything.

  7. Because it's almost 9/11 time, time to celebrate their victory over the U.S. However it is a common misconception that all Arab people are Muslims and are associated with terrorists. So Arabs are helping out to show that not all Muslims are bad and terrorists.

  8. Well, if I were Muslim (thank gawd I ain't!).  I wouldn't be worried about helping out with Disaster Relief in the Gulf Coast, I'd be totally inmersed with disaster relief for the human tragedy and travesty known as Iraq

  9. I know a muslim guy from my home town who drove to the Katrina site in his own pick-up truck and with his own tools with a bunch of volunteers to help take care of the people who had lost their homes...He stayed for months.

    They all did.

Maybe consider that the facts are a touch skewed outta CNN

  10. so what if they did? ....what are you mad that they are helping?
