I am doing a weekly (Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 6pm) menu plan for children. Would anyone know good sites that indicate Recommended Daily Intakes for children. Because my menu needs to cover morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. And for one day how many Recommended Daily Intakes does children need to have. This is for a long day care centre.

Thank you very much....

  1. http://www.netrition.com/rdi_page.html

  2. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-... You'll see the mini-chart and the breakdown according to age.

Be sure to click on the link about how large a serving is. Some kids will eat more and some less, but if you can keep the proportions roughly the same (same amount of fruits and veggies compared to grains, for example), it'll keep things balanced.
