  1. No, they also have to be cleared by a Vet and if the cat has anything wrong with it, they won't allow it into their country. Some countries make you put the animal in quarantine for 30 days.

  2. I have never heard of a pet passport??????

I never needed one and traveled with my dog several times to Germany and back to the US. The pet does need a "euro Passport" which is needed if traveled between the European Union countries but not from the US to GE and back. I only needed a no older than 10 day certificate that the pet is in good health, his vaccinations, CHIP and we were good to go!

Honey, read the wikipedia entry about the pet passport, which is only needed within the European Union countries and not between the US and Germany!

  4. No they won't be able to go sorry. The regulations are not that bad for Germany compared to other EU countries however. You do not need a pet passport. You will need a Vets form in both German and English that your pet is in tip top shape, a vet history and documentation that all their vaccinations are up to date. There is no quarantine in Germany from the USA. Flying over is much easier than coming back.
