  1. I used to climb waterfalls to jump off. It was great fun. However, I always made sure that I could clear any rocks on the way down, and I always checked the bottom of the falls for depth first, and for any nearby large rocks. It was a lot safer than it looks.

However, you must remember that a deep waterfall (the stream falling is more than 3 ft. deep) can cause a lot of foam. You can't breathe in this foam, nor can you float in it. Also, the currents at the bottom are completely chaotic and you could get trapped in a whirlpool.

  2. not likely,

falling 150-200 feet into water, is like hitting a concrete wall,

    if you survive,

you might have broken every bone in your body,

and when that happens, you wish you were dead

  3. slim to none

  4. Doesn't look good

  5. According to wikihow.com, people very seldom survive falls from heights of 100 feet or more, and death is high even at heights of 20-30 feet. I would think this applies for falling down a waterfall also -- because unless the water is quite deep, falling into water is just like hitting concrete. To increase your odds you need to land feet-first with your body nearly vertical. This however, will not eliminate high risk of being severely injured and/or unconscious.

  6. Depends on what's at the bottom - rocks or a deep pool.

  7. depends hw u fall
