  1. Wow. What class is this for? Anyway there are multiple advantages and disadvantages for friction depends on the application.

    Advantages

    > It allows your car to move

    > It helps prevent slipping and tipping

    > It is also what slows you down

    Disadvantages

    > Frictional force requires more energy to perform a working task. For example, think of trying to slide across carpet versus ice, the friction from the carpet stops you from sliding. Also think of a car, the air resistance from increasing you speed creates a friction force which reduces your gas mileage.

    >Friction creates a heat which can cause overheating of a part. Think rubbing two sticks together, the friction is what creates a fire. This can be a good thing or bad.

    >Friction reduces the longevity of a product. Friction is the reason you car will die at 120,000 miles the metal grinding on metLubricationions such as oils cause the car to last the 120,000 miles.

  2. advantage:

allows a car to move (the wheels to push against the road).

stops you from slipping and falling in the shower.

allows you to unscrew a lightbulb

    disadvantage:

creates heat in engines, which wastes energy

eh, i gotta go.  good luck on the other two.
