  1. One of the advantages of private school is that most private schools feature smaller classroom sizes that allow your child to receive a lot more individual attention from teachers. Because you pay tuition for your child to attend private school, this funding often goes toward better academic and extracurricular programs. Additionally, students attending private school are more likely to have better careers.

Public school education is free. This means the quality of the academic programs are not as high as those of private schools, but this is not always the case.

Classrooms are usually larger in public schools, meaning that there are more students and less individual attention from teachers. High enrollment rates in public school, however, are not always a bad thing. Students are exposed to more people from differing socio-economic backgrounds. This teaches children how to get along with one another regardless of differences, and can provide a more complete educational experience.

Private schools can be expensive and also very competitive. So before committing to a private school, discuss and determine what kind of education your child would be receiving.

  2. Public school is a waste of time. One just focuses on non-western subjects of no use to anyone. A lycee is your best bet, one that adheres to the standard curriculum of France.
