  1. it is like arranging colors from whites in you laundry,or classifying biodegradable from non-bio,you can dispose of the non renewable resources easier.

    also,another advantage is that if you know that a thing is classified as a non-renwable source,then you could think of ways to conserve this kind of material.

    another advantage of classifying it that way is that eventually non-renewable sources of energy will run out and as such they are not permanant solutions to the earth's energy needs.

  2. Renewable energy is from a source that is never ending.

    Solar energy (for example) is never ending because the sun is not going to stop shining (at least not in the next 100 years)

    Coal power has a finite limit because there is only so much coal in the Earth's crust and much of it is not dense enough to bother mining it. As such it is non-renewable.

    The advantage of classifying it that way is that eventually non-renewable sources of energy will run out and as such they are not permanant solutions to the Earth's energy needs.
