  1. GREED! The never-ending desire to have more than everyone else. And, by extension, the desire of nations to dominate others and steal their resources, as has been seen by the behaviour of the US, the world's biggest and greediest capitalist society. And, interestingly, even though it practices capitalism, it has massive poverty among its own citizens, which is another adverse effect - the rich get richer and the poor poorer.

  2. The major flaw in capitalism is  the business cycles, that is  speculative booms followed by economic down turns producing unemployment and misery.  Because  people want security as well as more goods this cyclical behavior reduces peoples happiness. Many people see the problem of the unequal distribution of wealth caused by capitalism, but  throughout history  and before the advent of capitalism the inequality  was even greater than it is today, so it can not be said that inequality of wealth and income is due to capitalism.  People have always been greedy no matter what the economic system.
