  1. Depends upon what type of littering to which you are referring. For example:throwing trash from a fast food place out of your car window as you drive down the street,or dumping used oil in your backyard?

  2. Where I live there are miles of shoreline littered with the dead bodies of birds and fish that have been caught in some catchy plastic packaging thing.  The west winds blow all manner of trash to the shore and out into the lake - I get so pissed when I witness some bubble-headed scumbag open their window ane toss the whole Taco Bell or Mc Donalds bag out - can ya not wait to get home and throw it in your trash or the can outside 7-11?

  3. Aside from the obvious aesthetic effects,  Littering firstly costs money to clean up.  Secondly, it is the opposite of recycling.  That is,  litter -when it is picked up, generally goes into to general trash collection, so items which could be recycled, thereby saving natural resources and energy are just wasted. Thirdly, the time energy and effort used to clean up litter could be better used doing other things.  Fourth, litter can be dangerous!  People drop glass bottles, which might be stepped on, or cause flat tires.  Also, if garbage (like food or drinks) is littered, it can be eaten by stray dogs or cats and make them sick.  And it feeds vermin.  Yeah, OK I know rats and cockroaches have to eat too.  But it can spread disease.

  4. killing of wildlife and a possible ticket

  5. First of all- you're not a good influence on little kids if you litter.

Second of all- it may not discinigrate and that's bad news.

Third- animals can be chocked to death.

    Fourth-it contaminates water supply.

Fifth- it changes the contents of soil.

Sixth- it indicates someone that doesn't care.
