What are the alternatives to heating a home?

  1. The first guy covered just about everything.  It depends on how hot you need,, how permanent you want it, how involved and how much money you want to spend and which fuel source you want to do.  You must also factor in your climate and space size.  If I was starting from scratch on a new home I would go geothermal.  Good for the environment and no increase in oil/natural gas cost.
