I've been learning this song and I just cant seem to find that perfect tone. I have a line 6 amp and the settings include: drive, bass, mid, treble, and channel volume. The amp has some channels that include clean, crunch, metal, and insane. The amp also has some effects: chorus flange, phaser, tremolo, sweep echo, tape echo, and reverb. Should I use any of these? So basically I'd like to know which settings, channels, and effects (if any) I should use. By the way, I'm using a Fender American Standard Stratocaster, so if anyone has some tips involving tone settings on the guitar itself, I'd appreciate that too. Oh, and I'm also using a DS-1 distortion pedal.

  1. I have the same amp but with more channels and the best setting would be Crunch Green(If you have the 3rd series it would have green, and the settings would be Drive 9,Bass 6,Mid 6,Treble 8,and channel volume doesn't matter and put the reverb at 2 or 3 it doesn't really depend and the distortion pedal wouldn't get a good tone for The Who.There you go!!!
