edu and history goes hand in hand.  our origins, our evolution of cultures, society has relevance and gives a good foundation for students to understand what they are studying currently.  its an edu system that is built with layers of grounding and honing.  when u r technically oriented, u will miss the human touch.  with anthro, sociology etc - soft sciences we add / bring up the human spirit to a higher plane
