Then, a biologist or biochemist determines what causes that. For example, an enzyme isn't being activated. Then, a biochemist analyzes the enzyme to discover the receptor site. The receptor site diagram is given to a chemist, who creates a chemical that fits the receptor site and activates the enzyme, but does not have many side effects.
