What are the average costs of titanium, steel, and aluminum bike frames? When a bike has a titanium frame, does it cost more than a steel and aluminum frame? If so, why?

If you are considering road frames of the same quality, then they all cost very close to the same... right about $2000- $4000.00.

Titanium because of the cost of materials, steel because of the cost of fine craftsmanship, and aluminum because of extensive engineering.

The best thing to do is look at the top bicycle brands and look at the cost of the different models and note what the frames are made from.
