  1. finding the s....manure.

  2. Plants will not grow as large.

Often, harvest will be smaller due to insects and weeds.

  3. 75 bazillion weeds and insects

  4. From my point of view, the biggest problem with organic farming is that it takes more land to grow the same amount of food, as compared to conventional farming. The reason is that yields on organic farms are, on average, lower than on conventional farms (at least in the United States, and other more developed countries). On a conventional farm, an acre of corn may yield 160 bushels per acre. That same acre, managed organically might be lucky to yield 130 bushels. So, as populations grow, and the demand for food increases, more and more land would be required for production if things trended more towards organic farming, and away from conventional farming.

  5. there is no bad points, you can turn it round and say its more the systems, in a nutshell it is back to basics look after the soil and it will look after you.  You can say weeds, pests, diseases but there are mechanical, biological and other ways to contain them.  Bio dynamics is also great and interesting.  I believe there is good and bad points in both conventional and organic.  Looking after crops etc with basic husbandry is good but is the premium worth the extra labour etc.  People forget this looking after the soil etc is as important for a Gardener as it is for a farmer with 1000 acres you get back what you put in as they say.

  6. organic farming has some bad effects...it doesnt help in production much if compared with chemical fertilizers...Organic farms use few pesticides although they are often allowed to use naturally derived ones.Studies have shown that people who work with pesticides have an increased risk of developing Parkinson's disease.

The practice of ploughing to prepare soil for planting is claimed to increase soil damage compared to using herbicides, like glyphosates, by wind and water erosion. This argument may apply primarily to large-scale organic agriculture, where huge areas are repeatedly tilled and planted with the same crops[citation needed]. Use of herbicides to kill weeds, instead of plowing them under, may present a short-term solution to this problem. However, repeated use of herbicides may disturb the soil microorganisms that contribute to the decomposition of the plant residues that help rebuild the soil organic matter content.[citation needed]. It can also encourage the build-up of resistances in weeds....

  7. the actual definition - what exactly constitutes organic farming and where are the guidelines

  8. organic material can break down into harmful substances

  9. weeds and bug because you dont use spray

  10. Bugs eating your plants.
