windfall profit tax? it did not work so well in the 70's so what will obama have to do to tweek it?

  2. Carter is a failed ex president and Obama is a failed ex president in the making.

  3. Age, I don`t understand why Reagan did not adopt Carters idea to get us off oil foreign oil by 2000. Oh wait Bush Sr. was the VP and Reagan was just a puppet like McCain will be.

  4. About 30 years.  Times and the world economy is vastly different now than it was then.  Context means everything.

    Carter was right about many things, but unpopular for saying them.  It takes a true patriot to buck the system and stand up for what it right, even if it is unpopular.
